We’ve been a bit cat and mouse with this blog so far hence, we have made a summer resolution to post on a more regular basis. So much going on at the moment, especially about animal welfare.
We are both outraged by the horrific story about Geronimo the alpaca. Some of you humans and your organisations are utterly despicable.
You rant on about “following the science” yet fail to do so if it suits you. I wish we lived closer to Geronimo as we would be on the picket line to keep those evil DEFRA people out – and so would Mom and Dad.
Face facts – the testing regime is faulty. In fact, the whole approach to the wider TB issue is fundamentally flawed. Don’t get us started on the way you humans treat badgers and cows. In Geronimo’s case, DEFRA is about to commit murder with the full support of the justice system. Well done all of you. Not one of you so-called important people is prepared to protect him. Maybe the NHS should start euthanising humans with TB? Distasteful? Then think how we animals feel.
All power to his owner, Helen. Geronimo is innocent! Mom signed the petition online and has written to our MP on our behalf but it has fallen on deaf ears in the corridors of power.
Come on Mr. Boris – we believed you were an animal lover but sadly, it seems we were wrong. Prove that you value all animal life and step in to force that Mr. Eustice guy to acknowledge the truth. Reverse the decision. If he refuses, just over-rule him. You know you can do it and you know it’s the right thing to do.
