Hi everyone!  We’d like to introduce you to a new friend – yes, another one.  Not a purrfect alliance you might meow but Mom and Dad introduced us and we were told to behave.  We are, apparently, Species Inclusivity Champions.  Sounds all very soppy for two Feline Separatists but we were bribed with treats so principles went out of the cat flap.

Actually, that’s all a bit unfair because we know that all our readers will simply fall in love with her.  Let us introduce you.  Meet Miss Georgie.

So, to set the scene, Georgie’s parents, Viv and Fay, are very good friends of Mom and Dad, hence our Aunties which must make Georgie our cousin.  We had a WhatsCrapp video call to get to know each other.

It was difficult since Georgie speaks Bark and we speak Meow but the parents acted as interpreters.  Just between us, we have our suspicions that the translation may have given, shall we meow, a more diplomatic slant as the chat went remarkably well.   Nevertheless, it seems we have some things in common.  Yes, really!

What about our favourite purrsuits, or growlsuits as Georgie barks?  We all love our food and enjoy country walks.  Mind you, she seemed a bit sniffed that we never have to wear a collar and lead and always go out without our humans.  He, he.  There’s more.  We all love chasing things although, unfortunately, whilst we chase mice and birds she prefers to chase cats.  Hey, ho.

Not to worry, we’ll focus on the positive.  Ermm…..  Oh yes, we all love treats and snuggling up to our humans.  No disagreement there.

There, you see, we can do harmony and species inclusivity.  We’ve scheduled another call next week and Miss Georgie is going to write on our blog after the call.  Interesting….

Love

Dougie: Are you going to learn Bark Hamish?

Hamish: Hell no, are you?

Dougie: Nah.  Come on, we’ve earned lunch.
